Refund and cancellation policy
Effective date: 28 September 2026
This policy applies to Rebel Plus passes sold by Siddharth Macker, sole proprietor trading as Read Rebel, New Delhi, India. It forms part of our terms of service.
The short version
- Plus passes are prepaid for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
- They never renew automatically, so there's nothing to cancel and you won't be charged again unless you buy another pass.
- Changed your mind? Ask within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked.
- The free 7-day trial never costs anything and needs no payment details.
How to ask for a refund
- Email hello@readrebel.app with the subject "Refund request", from the email address you used at checkout if possible.
- Include your Razorpay payment ID or order ID (it's in your receipt email), or the date and amount of the payment.
- That's all. We don't need a reason, though we're always grateful to hear one.
We'll confirm within 2 working days and start the refund to your original payment method. Banks and payment providers usually take 5–7 working days to show the money (UPI is often faster). Once the refund is issued, the Plus licence for that pass is deactivated, and you keep using Read Rebel on the Free plan. Nothing you created is deleted.
After 7 days
Passes aren't refundable after 7 days from purchase, except:
- where Plus doesn't work as described and we can't fix it within a reasonable time;
- where we remove a major Plus feature during your pass (you can then ask for a pro-rata refund for the unused time);
- for duplicate or accidental double payments, which we always refund; or
- where the law of your country gives you a right to a refund.
Cancellation
Because passes don't renew, you never need to cancel. If you don't want Plus any more, simply don't buy another pass. If you ask us to end a pass early outside the 7-day window, we'll do so, but it won't be refunded unless one of the exceptions above applies.
EU and UK customers
You normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for digital content. Plus unlocks straight away, so at checkout we ask for your express consent to immediate access and your acknowledgement that you then lose this statutory withdrawal right. Our voluntary 7-day no-questions refund still applies to you.
Failed or pending payments
If money leaves your account but the payment fails, your bank or Razorpay normally reverses it automatically within 5–7 working days. If it doesn't, email us with the details and we'll chase it for you.
Questions or complaints
Write to hello@readrebel.app. If you're not happy with how a refund was handled, contact our Grievance Officer, Siddharth Macker (hello@readrebel.app). We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this policy.
